ARTEMIS is Edda's modular packaging line for sofas, armchairs, bed bases, and bedroom wardrobes and cabinets. Every station on the line — from the film units to the conveyors — can be added, removed, or reconfigured, so Edda's engineering team builds each Artemis line together with the customer around their exact product mix rather than selling a single fixed machine.
Furniture pieces move along the line's conveyor system, which Edda configures with the entry and exit conveyor types that best fit the customer's layout. As each piece arrives, its real dimensions are measured in real time, and the line sizes the packaging materials accordingly. Depending on how the specific line was configured, the piece then passes through one or more film stations — an air bubble film unit, a vertical balloon nylon hood unit, or both in series — each of which can be engaged or bypassed as the product and order require. The whole sequence is monitored and controlled from Edda's PC-based software, which can also exchange product and tracking data with the customer's ERP and weight-measuring systems.

Is Artemis a fixed configuration or can it be customized?
Artemis is built as a modular line: film units, conveyors, and other stations can be added, removed, or swapped, and Edda's engineering team configures each line together with the customer around their own product range.
What does the vertical balloon nylon unit do?
It forms a balloon-shaped nylon (PE film) hood over the product and shrinks it into place; it is one of the film stations that can be engaged when that layer of protection is needed, or removed from the line when it isn't.
Can Artemis connect to our ERP and weight-measuring systems?
Yes. The line's PC-based control software is designed to integrate with almost any ERP system as well as weight-measuring systems, exchanging product and tracking data.
