The Spinner 1800 sofa and upholstery packaging line is a fully automatic furniture packaging line that protects sofas, armchairs, corner sofas and other upholstered furniture in two layers: a cushioning layer of air bubble film or foam, then a tight orbital stretch film wrap. It replaces manual wrapping at the end of upholstery production, cuts film use and labour, and delivers consistent, transport-ready packs for e-commerce, retail and export shipments. Designed and built in Bursa by Edda, Turkiye's first manufacturer of horizontal stretch wrapping machines.

What the Spinner 1800 packs

How the line works

The furniture is placed on the infeed belt conveyor and carried into the air bubble film unit, which covers it with up to 2000 mm wide PE bubble film, PE foam or PVC film and cuts the film with a heated cutting system. The piece then passes through the Spinner orbital ring, where stretch film is wrapped around it at an adjustable 10–50 rpm, and leaves the line on the outfeed conveyor fully protected. Conveyor speed, ring speed and overlap are set from the operator panel to match each furniture model.

Frequently asked questions

What sizes of furniture can the Spinner 1800 line pack?

Product length is unlimited; the minimum product size is 700 x 200 x 1200 mm (W x H x L). Larger cross-sections are handled by the 1800 mm orbital ring.

Which protective films can be used?

The bubble unit runs PE film, PE air bubble film, PE foam film and PVC film up to 2000 mm wide; the outer layer is 23–35 micron stretch film up to 250 mm wide.

Can the line be adapted to my factory layout?

Yes. Conveyor lengths, infeed direction and the bubble unit are configured for each project; final weight and power depend on that configuration.

Why automate sofa packaging?

An automatic line gives the same protection on every piece, uses less film than hand wrapping and frees operators for production, which lowers transport damage and packaging cost.
